SCIF stands for Sensitive Compartmented Information FacilityIt’s a secure area where sensitive classified information can be stored, processed, or discussed. SCIFs are used by the U.S. government and government contractors.

How are they secured?

Physical and procedural measures prevent unauthorized access 

Visitors must be briefed on the specific SCI they are authorized to access 

Landlords must protect the building and ensure security procedures are in place 

Tenants must maintain security protocols and access controls
